stumped.

my husband is a very simple man.
he has all the clothes he'll ever say he needs.
tons of shoes (but that's because they were given to him from a guy at dvs yrs ago)
i mean really.
he thinks that not one single dollar should be spent on himself and he'll never tell you anything he wants or needs, or even likes....
so you just kinda gotta watch his face for things.
listen REALLY well when he talks, because every once in a blue moon, you might catch him say that he should invest in that and just get it.
i think in all the time we've been together, he's maybe said this once.
it is SO hard to shop for my husband.
i haven't ever had a hard time shopping for people, because usually you know at least one thing that someone wants, or you know someone who KNOWS something that someone wants....
no, not my husband.
everyone asks ME what he wants, and i don't even know what the man wants.
i wanted to do something really special for valentines day.
but i have NO idea what to do....
i wanted to do something really special for his birthday, but again... kinda clueless.... well we have an idea for the birthday i think, but not so much valentines day.... and well, i'm just stuck.
he thinks this makes him a simple man, but in fact, it makes him a very DIFFICULT man....
i wish i had the thousands of dollars to just buy him the old car he wants, but i don't....
sooooo.... until then, other ideas are going to have to do....
i want him to know how much i appreciate him and love him and adore him....
ahhhh! this is going to be a lot more difficult than i thought.
im stumped!!!

you see, what i did on our anniversary was started a "Jason only" account. since he doesn't like presents, and the only few things he wants to do in life are thousands of dollars, i figured i could start him an account and add money to it for every special occasion. this way, eventually he will have the few things he really wants (1. an old car and 2. to swim with sharks, i hope he picks the old car first.... the whole swim with the sharks things freaks me out) but i feel like this gift doesn't SHOW him how much i love, appreciate and adore him, as a man, a father, as my partner, as my very best friend in the whole entire world.... i am so stumped.... gotta put my super sized thinking cap on for this one.... (yeah, i have a big head, i know, but i mean it in terms of me needing LOTS of extra help on this one)

aww no sitter. but that's okay. i was trying to think of something that we could all do together. i was thinking about deep cleaning the house the next few days so that everything is just immaculate. then i was thinking of T and I picking out a recipe and making dinner together for him and baking something yummy for dessert. buuuuut, i would love to do something else for him. we'll see.... feel free to share your ideas. =)

That's a great idea! If you get a chance, go to Cost plus (love that store) and check out all the wonderful little stuff they have for gifts! They have this really nice red picnic basket with a hole that fits a wine or champagne bottle on one side, then you can pick out a wine or champagne from there to put in the basket..along with 2 nice valentines glasses for the wine and champagne (which they have at cost plus too)buy some hazelnut chocolate (cost plus sells the best) to add to the basket and some candles! For Taylor you can buy her the same little set up with her own Valentines glass and sparking apple cider! You and Taylor should decorate the house all romantic and set the picnic baskets up on a table and set up some fun appetizers (instead of a big dinner) and bake cupcakes and decorate them V-day style! You can find everything for this idea at Cost Plus! Ohhhh or instead of cup cakes, they sell this heart shaped pan and you can bake a heart cake and decorate it with frosting and candy! Oh man I can go on, can you tell Valentine’s Day is my fav holiday! Get him something fun to add to the basket too, like V-day slippers for all you guys to wear while your hanging around the house that night : )
